FINDINGTRIXIE is not your usual music blog.
Sometimes you get a local concert/show update, perhaps a photograph I have taken at a recent show, but most of the time you get a glimpse inside my playlist.
Hope you enjoy the music as much as I do! xo

Hi! Shocked to hear from me? Same here. Just a quick update!

  • In Australia
  • Haven’t died
  • Still alive
  • Been discovering a bunch of great Aussie music
  • Have a crap load of photographs to go process
  • Finally on Spotify premium!
  • Now to get Soundcloud Pro and finally post some originals!
  • I’ve got a few tracks I want to share on the blog, but I think I’ll just make another 8tracks playlist. If not, time to try out making a public Spotify playlist (the pressure kills me though!)

I’m a happy fox here in Australia. Winter is the best season ever! Oh and I’ve gotten into using emojis. They’re the worst but it passes on emotions that words can’t at times. 😁

We live in an age where we feel guilt whenever we have to cut someone off but the reality is that some relationships do need to die, some people do need to be unfollowed and defriended. We aren’t meant to be this tethered to the people in our past. The Internet mandates that we don’t burn bridges and keep everyone around like relics but those expectations are unrealistic and unhealthy. Simply put, we don’t need to know what everyone else is up to. We’re allowed to be choosy about who we surround ourselves with online and in real life, even if it might hurt people’s feelings.

I was a fool for not stumbling upon this track sooner.

You rarely see remixes of songs like the ones Tegan and Sara produce, and when you do find them, you just know they’re going to be amazing because you must do justice to the original. You just have to.

Wait, did that make any sense? Because I feel like I just mumbled.

Check out AA; I have so many stupid questions I want to ask, but I’ll just have to keep them to myself…for now.

I don’t remember how I found this track, but once I pressed play, I knew instantly that I was going to love it. Seriously, I had the gut feeling it was going to be an amazing song and I was proven right.

Definitely look out for Itro and Cediv, these names are going to be big in the music industry. Just wait for it.

I have no idea how to (professionally) explain why this song is on my blog; I like the song, actually I love it; it’s somewhat cliche when it comes to lyrics but it’s definitely a feel good song.

It’s a song I’d include on the OST if I were to ever create a (short) film on how much (dance) music has made an influence on me. Wait, what? I’m starting to confuse myself.

I’ve lost my touch to write passionately. Fuuuuuuuck! Help me get out of this rut!

Press play. Dance. Enjoy the moment.

Sometimes I run to friends when I’m in rut and can’t seem to find any “new” music; and when I run to Ruth, she recommends tracks that I didn’t know I already loved. (Oh yeah, just quoted Proximity

Now, my friends, I am sharing this lovely indie-pop track with you. Enjoy!

This song has been running the airwaves for a couple of weeks now but I’ve only gotten to fully appreciating the track recently.

Sia is extremely talented; her voice is addicting, and the fact that she’s staying incognito to the public by not showing her face makes her even more interesting.
