FINDINGTRIXIE is not your usual music blog.
Sometimes you get a local concert/show update, perhaps a photograph I have taken at a recent show, but most of the time you get a glimpse inside my playlist.
Hope you enjoy the music as much as I do! xo

Suddenly, it’s not a book anymore. It’s your soul being reflected back to you on the turning pages.

THE WAIT IS OVER! WALK THE MOON IS (FINALLY) BACK WITH NEW MUSIC!

——

This came into my life just when I needed a pick-me-up the most.

Ready and Willing - New Found Glory

Yeah, I know it’s been a while since I last posted a song on the blog. I’ve been letting life get in the way, and it’s been great. There’s so much I want to tell you all but I think I’ll let the music speak on my behalf. :)

Enjoy! And don’t worry, I’ll be updating more often. WOOOOH!

It’s a perfect day out in the city of Ortigas, Philippines. Wish I was at the beach instead of this office. I could definitely use some R&R right now.

Accidentally left my beloved #AKG K 309 earphones in the studio, and I’m sure by now someone as claimed them as their own. And since I couldn’t find another pair, I got myself a #Sennheiser MX 80. I’m a happy camper!

I read The Lover’s Dictionary over the weekend. When I finished it, I realised right then and there that I want my own Kindle Paperwhite.

I used to think the worst thing in life was to end up all alone. It’s not. The worst thing in life is to end up with people who make you feel all alone.

Every day, just try harder. You think you’ve tried hard enough, but no. You have definitely not tried hard enough.

It’s been a while since I’ve gotten to update my blog and it’s a shame. I have so much music, photographs, and videos that I am dying to share with you all. Hopefully my moments of silence didn’t encourage you to stop visiting FINDINGTRIXIE.

If you don’t hear from me on my blog, you can always check out my Soundcloud, and Twitter for random music posts and thoughts going through my quirky brain.

Stay lovely.

How Will I Know (Dalton Remix) - Sam Smith

I love the original cover, and I love this remix. Dalton is an NYC gem and I am honoured to have come across his work. With remixes like this, I wonder how much more amazing his original music is!

And it gets better, Dalton has put up this track up for a FREE download! How could you not take the opportunity?

Hi! Shocked to hear from me? Same here. Just a quick update!

  • In Australia
  • Haven’t died
  • Still alive
  • Been discovering a bunch of great Aussie music
  • Have a crap load of photographs to go process
  • Finally on Spotify premium!
  • Now to get Soundcloud Pro and finally post some originals!
  • I’ve got a few tracks I want to share on the blog, but I think I’ll just make another 8tracks playlist. If not, time to try out making a public Spotify playlist (the pressure kills me though!)

I’m a happy fox here in Australia. Winter is the best season ever! Oh and I’ve gotten into using emojis. They’re the worst but it passes on emotions that words can’t at times. 😁

We live in an age where we feel guilt whenever we have to cut someone off but the reality is that some relationships do need to die, some people do need to be unfollowed and defriended. We aren’t meant to be this tethered to the people in our past. The Internet mandates that we don’t burn bridges and keep everyone around like relics but those expectations are unrealistic and unhealthy. Simply put, we don’t need to know what everyone else is up to. We’re allowed to be choosy about who we surround ourselves with online and in real life, even if it might hurt people’s feelings.

But things work out, you know. Even if it doesn’t feel okay for a long time, or even if it feels like things will never be okay again, everything works out in the end.
